TRANSFER OF SENTENCED PERSONS ACT, 1995
TRANSFER OF EXECUTION OF SENTENCES ACT, 2005

I. Preliminary

1. In this Order—

‘the 1995 Act’ means the Transfer of Sentenced Persons Act, 1995;

‘the 2005 Act’ means the Transfer of Execution of Sentences Act, 2005;

‘Convention State’ means a State to which the Convention applies or a State

or territory designated as such by the Minister for Foreign Affairs under section 2 of the 1995 Act;

‘designated country’ means a State designated as such by the Minister for Foreign Affairs under section 5 of the 2005 Act;

‘the Minister’ means the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform.
